Lodge Rental

Located right outside the historic New Orleans French Quarter, Etoile Polaire Lodge No. 1 shines like the bright star indicative of its name. Known simply as "The Lodge" to most,  Etoile Polaire Lodge No. 1 has graced its spot on North Rampart Street near the intersection of Esplanade Avenue for 170 years, serving as a gathering spot for the fraternal organization of Freemasons. 

The Lodge's unique history makes it shimmer with one-of-a-kind interior details you will not find at other rentable venues. Established in 1794 and chartered by the Grand Lodge of Louisiana in 1812 when the Pelican State was admitted to the Union, this expansive and historic property accommodates up to 300 people if the outside area is utilized.

The Lodge's indoor seating allows approximately 90 people for a formal brunch, lunch, or dinner. Best of all, The Lodge requires no corkage fee or percentage of the food expense-again, setting us apart from other rentable venues. All tables and chairs are included with the rental, and the upstairs is available for civil wedding ceremonies at an additional price.

No one will forget your special event held in the upstairs Lounge Room, which with the exception of modern conveniences such as air conditioning and electric lighting, appears as it did in 1850-a mere two years after the building itself was constructed.

In our short time as a rentable venue, we have hosted a variety of events including weddings, receptions, bridal and baby showers, fundraisers, birthday parties, festival after-parties, and anniversaries.  Worried about logistics? No worries, we got dat. We realize the last thing you need to worry about on the day of your big event are the more minor details. The property is gated for restrictive access and security, which is controlled by an Orleans Parish Deputy.

For vendors, caters, and other supply vehicles, there is a rear entrance. The Lodge recommends setting up cooking tents on the rear landing pad to ease the service to guests. Finally, we allow specific events a load-in and set-up time of half a day before the scheduled event and three hours of load-out time the day following the event, in addition to the full day of the event itself.

The venue offers close proximity to the jazz clubs of Frenchmen Street, the elegant hotel bars of the CBD, and the delectable food and company that's just about everywhere in Downtown New Orleans. So, when you're looking for The Lodge, just follow the star to the pulse of our city.
